Today I stumbled across Millard Webb’s ‘Glorifying the American Girl’ (1929), on a midday movie channel, and couldn’t help but admire its magical charm.
“Some places are like people: some shine and some don’t.”
This week’s microfilm topic was on the theme of ‘you’.
Inspired by a very important person in my life, I decided to focus on a very serious medical illness as the subject of this film.
“Do you believe in soulmates?”
“I do. I like the concept that there is somebody who is supposed to be with you forever. But if it’s a soulmate, it’s not supposed to end, right? It doesn’t happen twice in a lifetime.”
